The Governing Body

Being a governor is an important and responsible role. The job of the Governors is to help to make decisions about how the school is run, to support staff and ensure that we care for our children’s education in the best possible way. Responsibility for the day to day management of the school lies with the headteacher.

Governors play a significant role in creating a vision that is shared by all members of the school community and help to set the strategic direction of the school in partnership with senior leaders.

The Governing Body has a wide range of statutory duties and responsibilities and it is important for all members to keep up to date and be aware of changes in both national and local education policies and procedures.

The Chair of Governors for Broadfield Community Primary School is  Alyson Malach. To contact the Chair of Governors please ring the school on 01706 647580
